There's Nothing Like Family

 Dear Family,

Obviously, the highlight of the last two weeks has been having AJ, Kelsey, and Harper here. I always marvel that you can go so long without seeing family and then in minutes after being together it's as if you've never been apart. It was particularly fun to be here with them since we've already been together here in this fun city, it gave us lot's of memories to relive.

This is my favorite re-create picture! Didn't Harper grow into a lovely young lady?

I remember so well when I had an hour off and Kelsey took us to this park. As Harper and I played on the slides that day I remember feeling so overwhelmingly grateful that I had a grandchild to play with while attending training meetings. Re-creating it this week just brought back all that gratitude!

Throughout the week we got to relive old memories like...

Our favorite hike that ends up at our favorite beach restaurant with my favorite noodles.

Renting a surfboard proved that Harper is definitely more aggressive in the water than she was back first time around!

We got to ride buses...

...Subways...

...the ferry and taxi's.

They showed us  new things like Disneyland...

A beautiful city park by their old apartment...

...and AMAZING dumplings...

We got to share with them a walk on our promenade...

...Our favorite bakery...

...Our most interesting grocery store.
We rode the glass bottom gondola over the water and up the mountain

...to see the Big Buddha.

Sunday was the quarterly birthday party after church and Harper made a new friend when this cute girl came and invited her to sit at the kids table.

As a bonus this week AJ and Kelsey go to meet another of the Leigh sisters who came to visit. We spent all of the Sunday School hour visiting with Jolene and Johnny. Jolene is the little sister of the woman we got to meet last week. These women and their husbands are amazing example of faith and I learn about what real conversion looks like when I am with them.

After church we took a field trip to see the temple...

Basically, this week was just a giant Love Fest for Hong Kong!

And then it was over. They wanted to ride the bus to the airport so we walked down the street from our office, waited for the bus and then blew kisses till it was out of sight!

It was a good dry run for our week with Stan who got here last night!!

We hope you all have a good week!  We're sending you tons of love!

Love Grandma and Grandpa
