The Kiss

Good evening to all of you, I know you are reading this because of the title. But you're just going to have to wait. I've got a few pictures you are going to have to look at before we get to the good stuff.  First, a couple of sunset and sunrise pictures. Sunset picture of the harbor from the promenade just down from our building. About 6 pm. This is another picture of the harbor from the promenade but pointing the opposite direction. This is the sunrise at about 6:30 am. You can see three swimmers in the water. There are about 10-15 of these swimmers every morning. And they have all got to be in their late sixties and seventies. Yesterday, your mom (grandma) and I went to Aberdeen a small fishing harbor on the ocean side of Hong Kong Island. We took a tour of the harbor with this guy, Thomas. It was a very peaceful, slow ride on his Sampan. It was a gorgeous day with lots of boats to see. There were a lot of big beautiful yachts. And tons of old, derelict fishing trawlers like...

We are Thankful

Dear Family, We're happy to report that we've had a good week. We've worked every day, enjoyed FHE with the senior couples, went on a great excursion to the New Territories and have had a quiet Sabbath. All is well in Hong Kong as we look forward to Thanksgiving week. I'm not sure I every even wrote any of them a letter, and phone calls if any, were few and far between.  As I kept thinking about it I realized all the things they for sure never got to see pictures of or participate in th...

Dear Family, This has been a very busy week. We picked Stan up at the airport last Saturday night and then took him on a whirlwind tour of HK. He was here from Saturday night to Friday morning. And it was go, go, go from the minute he got here. I had to fit some work in also; so it was a very busy week. We were all exhausted by the end of the week. We averaged about 10 miles of pavement walking everyday! So, here are some pictures: Picking Stan up at the airport Saturday night. Sunday morning on the way to church. Sunday afternoon at Kowloon Park. These are some Indonesian women singing from the Quran. We made friends with them a few weeks ago and now always stop by to say hello. Another trip to Big Buddha. Of course, Stan and Dad had to take some pictures. And Mom had to take pictures of us taking pictures. The obligatory stop at the Apple Store. This is a new friend we made on Peng Chau Island. He is the local junk yard artist. He loves to collect junk and then tie it together a...
